This week both 4th classes visited St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin City. We were given a guided tour of this magnificent landmark, where we learned many interesting facts and stories about the cathedral. The boys practiced writing with a quill and ink, as was the custom long ago. They also listened to choral music from the church choir, built a replica of the cathedral's cruciform shape and completed other fun activities.
We finished our visit with a brief stop at the park beside the cathedral to eat our lunch, before catching the bus back to school. A great day was had by all and the cathedral definitely merits a return visit in the near future!
